well hopefully that time is now. (employer permitting)
Ive been growing my beard for about 3 months now.
completely natural!

Its a kinda rebellious thing ive noticed (maybe young guys grow long

Ive grown it a couple of times before but not for more than a month

This time is different.
I am hoping to grow it for a year. (maybe more)

Dear Joe:

Thank you so much for your advise. I already contacted my Union Rep. There is
nothing on the books that says men should keep their beards short. Joe, If I
get harassed even once, I'm going to file a grievance against the
administration.

Sometimes I feel like people live in the dark ages. Your email was wonderful.
Infact, I'm glad that everyone in our club that has a passion for long long
beards should read it. It is not uncommon to have similar problems on other
jobs.

What pisses me off is I am well groomed and very clean about what I wear, and
heigine. I seemed to be well liked by my fellow teachers. It is just the boss
has this thing about beards.

Your advise was dynamic, and should be published on http://www.beards.org

Wow, your letter really gave me a wake-up call. The historical portion of it
should be posted.

I won't touch my face now for all the tea in China. I was blessed with a
beautiful dark thick beard, and I love it!

From the bottom of my heart, Joe, thank you so much for the advise. You're a
cool guy. Or should I say "Cool Bearded Guy"!

Thanks Again
From your bearded friend,

Steve

   Steve,

Why can't you sue the school system? The principal needs to be put in
her place. If you are a teacher, please let it be a history teacher.
Remind her that Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, Rutherford B.
Hayes, James Garfield, Chester Arthur, Grover Cleveland, Benjamin
   Harrison, Theodore
Roosevelt, William H. Taft (some of which held multiple terms) should
never have been President of the USA because they all had some form of
facial hair. Slavery should still be legal because some guy with a
beard decided to put a stop to it.

The nest time you talk to her in her office, be sure to turn off the
lights and her computer. After all, electricity was discovered by a
man with long hair. And we all know that men with long hair can't be
trusted to be honest. ;-) Make sure that she doesn't use the library
nor the post office because the same guy with long hair standardized
these. And finally, if she is a Christian, she shouldn't be because
Jesus had a beard. She also can't be Jewish because Judaism (to the
best of my knowledge) also forbids men to shave. And you do bring up a
good point. Moses, Noah, Jesus and many other biblical men had beards.
Of course, since they did, we should believe in their teachings.

Modifying what my mom would say, "Put this in her pipe and make her
   smoke it."

I agree that religious reasons is always a good way to be able to keep
your beard. However, how easy is it to just say that and not practice
the religion? I'd be afraid that I'd have to prove my religious
affiliation. Hoe did you lawsuit go? Did you win?

Steve,

No problem. I knew what you meant. I've tried to let it grow a few
times. Each time it seems to stop between 3" and 4". So I've resigned
myself to the belief that that is as long as my beard will get. But
hey! It's still a beard.

BTW, who is Moe?

not be able to grow one as long as the fantasy is, it is still a
beard, be proud! And don't give a rats ass about anyone elses
opinions. I never saw one kid push Santa away because his beard was a
problem.

Dear GURKIRPAL SINGH:

What great advise. I never gave my union a real serious thought. Thanks to your
advise I will now. I'm going to grow it until my beard won't grown any longer.
I was being facetious about the shaved head. However, a ponytail sounds like a
possible alternative.

If I keep getting bullied, I will go to the Union. That should shut her up.
I'll also keep her intra email memos.

Thanks Again,
Steve

Dear Gurkirpal:

Good for you! I am going through the same experience now. Except I can't sue a
school system. The principal where I work likes clean shaven men as teachers.
I'm thinking of shaving my head! That will give her a shock. At least I'd be
clean shaven. I have a passion for growing long beards. It is too bad I had to
trim it last week after a five inch growth. However, I decided to leave it
alone as long as I can.

I'm very clean and dress well. I think my five inch growth looked great. What
is wrong with people. Quote form principal. It gives the kids a poor outlook
on grooming and many of the parents may not trust you as their child's teacher
because of the length of the beard."

I may consider changing schools with a much more liberal principal. If I had
magic powers, I would zap my present female boss and give her the beard of
Moses!

If anyone else with a long beard has had this problem, write me back. Maybe
between all of the men in this club, one person could come up with a logical
solution. I do not like short cropped beards. They remind me of a person
playing a part in a movie when the beard has that drama and theatrical look.
Help!!!

Steve

The only real problem with long beards is that some, maybe most, guys

Dear GS

Keep it growing. I also made the choice to grow my beard as long as possible. I
am in my fifties, and for as long as I can remember, I always wanted a beard
like Rumpilstiltskin.

This girl I work says I look like Jewish Rabbi. I said who cares, I am Jewish
and proud of my heritage. I keep my hair shorter, but not too short.

Like you said, if god or through evolution men should not have facial hair, we
wouldn't.

I love my beard, and will let it grow as long as I can.

Keep it growing... It is what you want, and other people have nothing to say
about it.
Your long long bearded enthusiast,

Steve

hillbillies so maybe its "right" (the chin "goatee area is all gray
now")
bit its kinda weird.. since i never grown it this long before i find
myself wondering how it will come together...
the hair "under my chin" seems to be longer than the hair on my chin
(the goatee part)
it looks very wooly to be honest..
i am paranoid my boss will decide its too "wild" and make me shave
but to be honest....
if i were to trim it or edge it.... i dont know how i would...
know what i mean? it seems to be just right the way it is.
beard brothers i hope i can remain one of you :)

to start i am 44 years old
All my life ive always told myself someday i will grow a long beard.
well hopefully that time is now. (employer permitting)
Ive been growing my beard for about 3 months now.
completely natural!
nothing trimmed, no "edging" nothing! just the way god intended it.
Its a kinda rebellious thing ive noticed (maybe young guys grow long
hair... old guys grow long beards)
anyway,
Ive grown it a couple of times before but not for more than a month
or
two, and then i would do some stupid trimming on it.
This time is different.
I am hoping to grow it for a year. (maybe more)
I feel I kinda look like a hillbilly but hell my ancesters are

Steve Steve this is g. singh again your email didnot say your age,but if you are
young now and dont have any gray never ever use permenent hair colour it
shatters the shell of the hair shaft then enters to colour the hair that hair is
ruined forever it gets like straw and hairbrakage I'am sixty now had face fur
since Iwas twenty seven it is white now about seventeen years ago Idyedit and I
noticed that it was breaking in clumps at this I vomited in the sink well it
took seven and a half years to renew. if you must dye it temporary spray on it
doesnot penetrate or fracture the hair shaft and looks good too.best wishes my
brother.G.S.

real long beards. I always have. If one is going to grow a beard, he should do
it all the way. I love touching it and if someone shaved it while I was
sleeping, I would probably see if my quiet personality would turn lethal.

How long is your beard now? How long has it been since you shaved? Do you ever
make a chin line? I hope you don't mind answering my questions.

I have enclosed a picture of the way my beard looked a over a month ago.
Needless to say, it has gotten much longer and can't wait until I reach the five
inch mark.

I find long beards very sensual as well as giving me a much more masculine look.
If you have a picture of yourself can you send it to me? Also if you wouldn't
mind send me your private email address and I'll send you pictures of me during
various stages of growth including how I look with a shaved head and the beard.

Thanks again for writing. I look forward to corresponding with others as well.
This could be a fun Website sharing my passion with others that have the same
feelings. Let me know if the pictures came through. Have a great day.

Steve dear steve; I'am longbeard1407 and my beard is crotch length and like hbo
its uncut and uninturupted most of the time I roll it up under my chin so it
will not catch on anything that mite pull a hair out.what I can recomend is
treat your unique badge of a man with love and baby shampoo with detangler hot
oil and conditioner eat a healthy diet to feed the roots vitimens cant hurt.
never let anything harsh go on your manlness chlorine ,heat or let it get matted
daily grooming pick the hair with your fingers then with an afro comb large
tooth take your time slowly stroke through your fur if you hit a knot for gods
sake dont rip through it take it apart gently it is a very fragil thing once
damaged split ends will appear and work their way up.always pick and comb from
the bottom. now nonsense from the world first ITS RELIGOUS and I cannot cut it
EVER you are a hasidum or sikh or member of the jesus society that will hold up
in court, because the world hates beards and loves the
girl face look, even close friends have offered to shave it off for me then
when I refused they dont want to associate with me GOOD RIDDENES.STEVE your face
fur is two inches long now ,but in seven and a half years I gurantee you will
have to pick it up to take a leak never trim it just let it grow cutting does
not make it look or grow better a cut beard is ugly, raggy ends are natural and
handsome. dont cut any parts out even if it is under your eyes or down the neck
aunatural my best wishes go with you in your new life in fur. it woulnt be easy
but remember your right and they are wrong. I always wonder why the girl faces
dont wear dresses with their skin faces they look like women, oh my favorate the
saint anthony with no beard uugh. I'an gurkirpal Singh
