The Florida Marlins new manager Joe Girardi wants his players to be
clean shaven---no goatees, mustaches or beards allowed when players
begin reporting for spring training on Feb. 18.
Girardi (who used to be a catcher for the Yankees) agrees with
Yankees owner George Steinbrenner's rule that allowed neatly trimmed
mustaches but no beards or shaggy hair.
But Girardi's policy takes Steinbrenner’s to a whole new level by
eliminating facial hair completely.
Girardi says, "I appreciate peoples' styles and how they want to be
different, but I really believe if you look professional, you play
more professional.''
What an idiot!
