Re: gaps in beard

Peter,

I'm in the "not' category. Shaving ABSOLUTELY does NOT promote hair
growth. When one shave and says it does, believes this ONLY because
he/she hasn't seen the hair start to grow in. Besides we "not's" have
the AMA backing us up on this one. Think of it this way. All the men
who shave their heads to hid the fact that they are naturally bald,
their hair should start growing back. It doesn't. Why? Genetics. If
you are to have hair in those bald spots, you will.

Al,

I too, was in the service. I wasn't permitted to have facial hair
until I was in 6 months. Prior to that, I was pretty much without
facial hair due to shaving everyday. Did my bald spots fill in? No.
And to this day, 26 years after I started shaving, my bald spots are
still bald. Why? Genetics. Shaving does NOT promote hair growth.

Joe
