Welcome to the online home of the Seattle Chapter of the Weston A. Price Foundation!
All are welcome to participate here - whether you are new to WAPF, are already familiar with the WAPF/Nourishing Traditions approach, or are members of other local chapters.
The Weston A. Price Foundation is dedicated to restoring nutrient-dense foods to the human diet through education, research and activism. We support a number of movements that contribute to this objective including accurate nutrition instruction, organic and biodynamic farming, pasture feeding of livestock, community-supported farms, honest and informative labeling, prepared parenting and nurturing therapies.
This forum is focused on these issues in the greater Seattle and Puget Sound areas, and has been created to help people learn more about what the Weston A. Price Foundation is doing both nationally and locally, and how they can participate.
One way of doing so is to join us at our fun and informative monthly potluck meetings.
We generally meet for a shared meal at 6pm on the 3rd Thursday of the month, and after dinner we may partake in a variety of different activities, including listening to talks given by featured speakers, watching and participating in food preparation demos, viewing various presentations or films, or even going on a picnic or taking the occasional field trip.
Besides enjoying good food and getting to know one another, our primary focus is sharing information on how and why to purchase, prepare and consume wholesome, healthy, nutrient dense foods, such as as raw dairy products and meats from humanely raised, grass fed/pastured animals; savory bone broths; health-giving fats; fermented foods and beverages; and local, seasonal, organically grown fresh fruits and vegetables. We also help those who are interested learn the best places to procure these foods.
We're very glad you found us and look forward to getting to know you here online and in person at our monthly potlucks!
