After bariatric surgery people experience new challenges both physically and emotionally. In the beginning, relearning what to eat is often very difficult as their whole relationship to food has changed. Plus, for many embarking on a daily exercise program for the first time can be intimidating.

We always refer to the surgery as one “tool” on a path to a healthier lifestyle. Weight loss success is made up of many components beyond surgery; one of them is the SUPPORT GROUP.

This online support group is just one form of support offered by the New Jersey Bariatric Center. Weight loss surgery patients can use this group to ask questions and share stories, tips and advice with others who have been exactly the same shoes: other weight loss surgery patients. The group is moderated by our Community Relations manager.

We encourage you to become an active part of this online support group. Please remember to keep the conversation focused on weight loss surgery issues that would be of interest to the general audience.
