Earlier this spring (May 2002) CMAC - classical martial arts canada
took over my Dojo using lies, games and the trust of their own
student. They took my students, my money, and all the time and
effort I spend building the dojo from scratch. (worst of all, they
took my faith in martial arts)

The organization is CMAC - headed by wallace (wally) platt, and his
directors patrice williams and chet dixon...

How did I allow this to happen? Originally when I found the place to
build a Dojo, I did not have a company incorporated...so pat williams
(my Sensei at the time) told me to go ahead and use his company name
on the lease "in trust for a company to be incorporated", furthermore
he said the way to do this is to put my money into his bank account.
(yes, I admit it was a stupid move on my part, but like I said...I
trusted him)

When I finally did get my company incorporated and informed pat that
I would like to go ahead "as agreed" and transfer the lease to my
name, first he stated that I could go ahead and do that, but that I
would no longer be a part of CMAC (voicemail), afterwards he came
over to my Dojo and physically tried to push me out of the door with
one hand as he was trying to close the door on me!!!

I looked at him in the eyes and said why are you doing this, that we
have an agreement? he responded as we no longer have an
agreement...so much for his philosophy of "your word is your
bond"...

I guess this is what you get for blindly trusting your own
Sensei...never thinking at any point he could betray you.

Currently I am in legal battle to get my money back (roughly
$25,000). The worst of it is I have found through research, that I am
not alone, that CMAC has done this several times before, taking
peoples Dojos or their monies...

If you have any similar experiences with either CMAC, wally platt, or
patrice williams, please let me know...as the courts will decide
their punishment.
