I almost forgot that I don't remember getting an answer to my query about
the lineage charts on the current gojuryu.net site.

When Rob Monaco began his site, he had very comprehensive charts which were
based on historical information, not current affiliation. It would appear
that the charts on the current site have been based on those original
charts, but that some have been changed to only show current affiliations.
One example is the Goju-kai lineage, which shows only current Goju-kai
affiliates. I know that the current Goju-kai affiliates don't want to
remember that Peter Urban was a student of Yamaguchi before they even
thought about training in Karate (or before they were born, in some
cases!), but that doesn't alter the facts and thus the lineage.

I don't want to open a can of worms here, but simply wish to know why this
is the case in this instance and not in others.

Is there anyone from the gojuryu.net site on the list who might be able to
cast some light on this?
