Hello...
> Do you wash your karate belt when it is dirty, wet, soiled or smelly?>
What substance it is dirty/soiled/smelly from will determine whether it is washed IMHV! So far, not required.. another 6 months, or a second can of exploding soda in my bag, and yes I believe I will/would...
> If you DO NOT, can you offer a LOGICAL reason?>
Certainly as well.
As the gentleman said before, it might destroy the belt itself, depending on its age/condition. That's an excellent reason unto itself. Another could be trying to GET that ~disintigrated~ look... whereas if you clean it, perhaps it will not get that old, threadbare, "icky" look, which many of our partners, mothers, etc. finding said belt would immediately toss them out because they are "worn out".
> or do you really think that all your CHI is tied up in that peice of cotton???>

<Gentle shrug & smirk> You're asking the wrong ~object~, talk to the belt ; ) ask it.
I do not know, if this chi exists, if it can be transferred to inanimate objects, we can make another person "feel better" merely by being ~near them~ so sure why not?! (Is that real, or perceived, does it matter?)
Merely my opinion, I could be mistaken...
