Just wanted to share my two restaurant expereiences this week.
We had company at the beginning of this week and didn't manage to get around
to dinner until our daughter's bedtime, so we did lots of takeout.
Monday we ordered from O restaurant. I ordered the Spicy Tuna and Shrimp &
Asparagus Maki rolls-- delicious! Wish I had ordered just one more roll:) I
just dipped in my own sauce. I would feel quite confident to eat there again
and look forward to actually dining at the restaurant.
Tuesday we ordered takeout from Texas Roadhouse, I used the GF menu that was
posted a while back and was very clear on the phone about my order. My
husband drove to get the order and returned. My entree was laying in a pile
of rice that was not GF and was never mentioned in the entree description--
I oredered plain vegetables and a salad as my two sides, and my salad had
croutons when I had specifically ordered it without. My husband's entree
never even made it into the bag. I called and explained what had happened.
My husband returned to pick up the new food. They never offered to comp any
of the meal or give us free dessert. He even had one of the employees ask:
"Did you get to eat the other steaks?" he replied "No, we had to come back
here to get the rest of the food." the man replied to him "Oh, you really
have to eat them when they're fresh!" How about adding insult to injury? The
food was good and I didn't get sick from it, but the service was absolutely
lousy. I intend on writing the management. Just reinforces my belief to
check the order before leaving the restaurnt-- I should have told my husband
to do so, but he wouln't have known that the rice was not o.k. for me to
eat.
