The hotdogs are great, however, you’ll
have a hard time finding buns, and they just aren’t quite as satisfying
without. I like the French Bread recipe from Bette Hagman’s GF Gourmet.
It works really well for hotdog buns. Just spray the inside of a plastic bag
with oil and put some of the dough in and cut the corner of the bag and pipe it
onto a cookie sheet into the shape of a bun. I make the uncooked buns up
and freeze them, then when I need one, I pull one out , microwave it for 30
seconds, and bake in the oven—fresh hotdog bun! The baked product doesn’t
freeze very well, so you are better off freezing the dough and baking as you
need.
Hmm… what else for bbqs… avoid
potato salad from the store, because it almost always has flour in it. Kraft
Macaroni Cheese sauce is GF. I buy a box, toss the noodles and use the sauce
with rice noodles. Wegman’s IS NOT GF. There are some great sauces and
marinades out there for grilling, just read your labels, and Wegmans is always
very helpful.
If you are thinking of specific things,
just ask someone here, I’m sure we all have good ideas.

Anyone know if Sahlen's dogs are gluten free? Do you have a posting from them? Their website is vague. Any suggestions for the picnic season? It's my first gf. :-( ------------------------------------ ***Always check product labels as ingredients change often.*** More info at http://www.glutenfreeinwny.com
Rescue a Pet in Need at www.BIGDOGBIGHEARTS.com Yahoo!
