Hello,
My daughter used a bakery in this area(we are 2 hours south of Buffalo) and the woman made  her  a separate layer gf for her . It was very good , as was the rest of the cake . You should be able to locate a bakery to do the same for you. If you are  planning on someone baking for you , there are lots of great mixes out there too.
