Dear all,
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 16th International
Congress of Agricultural Medicine and Rural Health will be held in Lodi
(Italy) from June 18 to 21, 2006.
The Congress theme will be "Building new tools for health promotion in rural
areas".
Several specialists, from all the corners of the world, are expected to take
part to the event, bringing experiences of their countries to each others'
notice and discussing about peculiar issues, such as prevention in rural
areas, occupational risks in agriculture, safe food, training and education.
As you certainly know, Rural Area have largely been neglected in any
prevention and research programme, and people living and working in rural
areas face an evident gap in health status, access to health services and
quality of life if compared to urban populations.
This is the reason why we are organizing this Congress, which will be
carried out addressing the three main field of rural health, that is rural
population, rural workers and rural environment.
I also let you know that a specific session is being organized addressed at
the experience of NGOs and their activity.
The Congress will start in Sunday, June 18 in the afternoon and will end on
June 21, at 1:30 pm. Please arrange your travelling plans accordingly.
