EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Climate Institute (Australia) Ltd is a new, well-funded, non-profit
organisation devoted to raising public awareness of climate change and
reshaping policy in Australia. Its objective is to shift public opinion on
climate change to the point where leaders of federal and state governments
feel compelled to implement strong measures to stabilise, then reduce,
Australia's greenhouse gas emissions.

With a budget of $10 million, the Institute will develop and implement a
five-year campaign to raise public awareness about the dangers to Australia
and the world of global warming. It expects to work collaboratively with
environment, business and trade union groups concerned about climate change.
A substantial part of the Institute's budget will be used to fund projects
by other groups and individuals.

The Institute will be a national organisation with its head office in
Sydney.

The Institute is seeking an Executive Director. Duties will include
developing and implementing a campaign strategy and managing the Institute's
office. We are seeking a person with high-level strategic and management
skills who is also committed to helping to protect the world from climate
change.

The salary for the position will depend on the background and experience of
the successful applicant.
