Dear Ms. Wyatt,

Here is a note sent to our members today.

EEF Members - Response to Katrina

URGENT -EEF Members NEEDED. The Institute for Building Technology and
Safety, under a subcontract with FEMA, is in immediate need of skilled
engineers, project managers, inspectors, estimators, superintendents, CLC's
and anyone with the above skills to be available for a 60 to 90 day
deployment to the Hurricane stricken sections of the U.S.

Industrial Hygienists or EEF Members holding the following designations
should apply as soon as possible: RMI-Registered Mold Inspectors, MCR-Master
Certified Remediator, RCMM-Registered Contractor Mold Manager and
RIAQM-Registered Indoor Air Quality Manager members and RIAQM-Indoor Air
Quality

Deployment on a 24-hour notice basis should be anticipated. Excellent pay,
commensurate with current salary, can be expected, however, the job is hard,
and the hours long. In addition to hourly wage, FEMA will provide per-diems,
travel, accommodations and other support. Anyone who can be available to
help in this crisis is encouraged to send their résumé via e-mail or fax.

For further information, please contact IBTS immediately. Contact

EEF Members have historically volunteered directly with the RED CROSS in the
event of a disaster. At this time, Red Cross is suggesting that our
membership consider donating via the Web site, or contacting your local Red
Cross office to ask about opportunities to volunteer. They predict enormous
need for help for a long period of time. You can locate that office, donate
money, or identify other ways to volunteer by visiting the Red Cross Web
site: http://www.redcross.org/donate/volunteer.

EEF Members are told to be patient, the site is busy. Several EEF Members
have received disaster-response training - if you have information to share
with other - please contact info@... in a format that we can
quickly re-distribute.

EEF will remain in contact with the national disaster services organizations
and other government agencies and will notify the membership when a need for
the special skills arises. If anyone receiving this e-mail knows of a non
EEF member who can help - please forward this notice onto them.

Sincerely,

Troy Johnson
