EEF Members have historically volunteered directly with the RED CROSS in the
event of a disaster. At this time, Red Cross is suggesting that our
membership consider donating via the Web site, or contacting your local Red
Cross office to ask about opportunities to volunteer. They predict enormous
need for help for a long period of time. You can locate that office, donate
money, or identify other ways to volunteer by visiting the Red Cross Web
site: http://www.redcross.org/donate/volunteer.
EEF Members are told to be patient, the site is busy. Several EEF Members
have received disaster-response training - if you have information to share
with other - please contact info@... in a format that we can
quickly re-distribute.
EEF will remain in contact with the national disaster services organizations
and other government agencies and will notify the membership when a need for
the special skills arises. If anyone receiving this e-mail knows of a non
EEF member who can help - please forward this notice onto them.
Sincerely,
Troy Johnson
