learn how to recognize, evaluate, and control occupational biohazards.
Relevant regulatory requirements are addressed as an introduction to new
and existing mandates, as well as work practices and engineering controls.
Janice Flesher, MS, CBSP, a top-rated AIHce PDC presenter, is a biological
safety officer and chemical hygiene officer for Bristol Myers Squibb. She
also serves on the American Biological Safety Association Nominating and
Training Committees and the AIHA Biosafety and Environmental Microbiology
Committee. Ms. Flesher's intermediate level TeleWeb will give participants
an overview of biosafety and its origins, discuss routes of exposure,
biosafety levels and regulations, and containment and risk assessment, as
well as provide web resources.
