Nominate an Annals paper for the Bedford
Prize
The Thomas Bedford Memorial Prize is awarded by the Council of BOHS for
the best paper in the Annals of Occupational Hygiene in a two-year
period. We are now drawing up a shortlist from the papers published
in 2002 and 2003 (Volumes 46 and 47).If you have thought any paper particularly interesting or useful, please nominate it for the shortlist. You do not have to have read all the papers, you just have to feel that a paper is good enough to go on the shortlist so it can be considered. A convenient way of reminding yourself what papers are in those two years is by going to to the on-line edition via http://annhyg.oupjournals.org/contents-by-date.0.shtml .
Any reader may nominate a paper, except for someone working in the nominee’s organisation, or with a close personal link with the nominee. The winner is chosen from the shortlist and proposed to Council by a panel of the Editorial Board and recent BOHS presidents. If you wish, you may nominate an editorial or one of the commentaries we published last year.
Nominations should be sent to the Annals at the BOHS Office (or emailed to annals@...) so that they are received by 14 May 2004. They should be accompanied by up to 150 words drawing attention to the paper’s strong points, and by the name and address of the nominator. No individual may nominate more than three papers.
