This is a group that aims to provide information and support for people living with, or caring for those with, a low-grade glioma (LGG). We were founded in 2005 by Joe Ralph, an inspirational man who happens to have a LGG, and are now managed by Katie Sheen of Astro Fund. Astro Fund is an independent voluntary organisation offering information, inspiration and hope to the low-grade brain tumour community. Our group is moderated by patients and carers in partnership with Astro Fund, and membership is limited to those with a personal experience of low-grade gliomas. Information on the site cannot be accessed by non-members, and members are expected to keep any details of this group strictly confidential. This encourages an atmosphere of openness and mutual support which is invaluable in the midst of all the challenges that these brain tumours bring to our lives.
