This is an international group offering information and support to people living with, or caring for those with, a low-grade glioma (LGG).

We were founded in 2005 by Joe Ralph and are now managed by Astro Fund. Astro Fund is a UK based charity which funds LGG research at leading neuro-oncology centres throughout Britain, as well as offering information, inspiration and hope to the low-grade brain tumour community via their website at www.astrofund.org.uk, this support group, and a second support group solely for carers.

The group is moderated by patients and carers in partnership with Astro Fund, and membership is limited to those with a personal experience of low-grade gliomas. Information on the site cannot be accessed by non-members, and members are expected to keep any details of this group strictly confidential. This encourages an atmosphere of openness and mutual support which is invaluable in the midst of all the challenges that these brain tumours bring to our lives.

This group has a particular emphasis on sharing constructive coping strategies, inspiring thoughts and invaluable resources available across the globe, to help each of us find many moments of peace and happiness in the midst of turmoil, and ultimately to emotionally survive whatever life may bring our way.
