This is an international group offering information and support to people living with, or caring for those with, a low-grade glioma (LGG). Please join us if you are a patient, carer, friend or relative of somebody who has been diagnosed with one of these slow growing brain tumours, wherever you live in the world.

This group was founded in 2005 by Joe Ralph and is now managed by Astro Brain Tumour Fund. Astro Brain Tumour Fund is a UK based charity which funds LGG research at leading neuro-oncology centres throughout Britain, as well as offering information, inspiration and hope to the low-grade brain tumour community via their website at www.astrofund.org.uk

This group is moderated by patients and carers in partnership with Astro Fund, and membership is limited to those with a personal experience of low-grade gliomas. Information on the site cannot be accessed by non-members, and members are expected to keep any details of this group strictly confidential. This encourages an atmosphere of openness and mutual support which is invaluable in the midst of all the challenges that these brain tumours bring to our lives.

This group has a particular emphasis on sharing constructive coping strategies, inspiring thoughts and invaluable resources available across the globe, to help each of us find many moments of peace and happiness in the midst of turmoil, and ultimately to emotionally survive whatever life may bring our way.
