Re: [Glimmer 'Colored Filter Glasses'] Hi

Hi Kimberly,
Thanks for celebrating with me. I'm so happy to see well enough to
drive again.
I have found that wearing a broad brimmed hat or a baseball cap helps
cut out the light when it is a problem, so I'll pass that along in
the hope that it might work for you too.
With Irlen filters, the color and darkness of the filters is
determined by which parts of the light spectrum cause problems for
you, so you may find that you are so sensitive to light that your
filters still look like sunglasses, but because of the fact that they
filter out the particular frequencies of light that bother you, they
should work a lot better than ordinary sunglasses to prevent
headaches and migraines.
When you choose the frames for your filters, I recommend that you try
to choose a wrap-around style that blocks as much light from the top
and sides as possible. I know that it is very hard to find anyone
who knows how to put prescription lenses into wrap-around frames, but
it can be done, even with multifocal progressive lenses like mine.
It must be getting close to graduation time for you. Congratulations.

finally understanding why I wear my sunglasses indoors. I can;t get
filters untill this summer, but when I do i;ll be happy cause I won;t
feel like I;m hiding my eyes. Today I was walking home from a
seminar from my school and I could feel my headache growing cause no
matter where I walked, the sun was right where it shown into my eyes
above the glasses. One thing I hate about summer....I cna;t get out
of direct light contact, no matter where I go.

short story/novella finshed by the end of summer. Heh, I can;t get
enough attnetion for my writing....but I usually write poetry, so
this is a hurdle for me.
