i understand needing instruction with art. i used to take art classes in my
friends garage. he turned down the lights for me and let me use darker paper. i
found that there are art classes online but you really do need the feed back
from the teacher to become really good. im probably going to try some graphic
design online courses later but we will see how that goes.

a number. I guess it doesn't really make a difference. Distance courses are not
possible for me. I am training to be an artist, which requires lots of hands on
work and lots of help from the professors. As soon as I can get my color
adjusted, a lot of my discomfort should go away. I have also had to make some
adjustments to my computer. A while back I purchased a screen magnification
program; among other things, it gives me a tremendous amount of control over the
colors on my screen. Right now I use a grayish blue background. I also find that
enlarging the print helps as well. Your distortions sound kind of similar to
mine. All the words are blurry. Some of the words are faded. The darker words
look like they are floating above the page. Some of the words disappear. I also
have a limited span of recognition. Fortunately, I do not see movement.

on how severe i am.

considerd online courses to get your education? ive changed the way my computer

to read. i used to describe the words as "they were moving around the page" but
nobody understood what i ment by they are moving. i was just told that i need to
learn a better way of explaining things or that i was a dyslexic. i later found
out more spesificly theres halos around the letters and light reflecting off the
page makes it look like they are moving. i usually have to fallow the page with
my fingeres and or use a gray overlay

meet people. My Irlen syndrome is also considered severe. When I went for my
screening I scored a 17. If I'm not mistaken, 20 is the highest. You said your
lenses are dark; mine are medium, but I think I might have to get the dark ones
the next time I go back to my diagnostician. Unfortunately, I cannot avoid
having to be under fluorescent lights. When the semester is over at the end of
April, I will go back for a tint check. At the end of January I noticed my
symptoms starting to come back. Soon after that, I started having to use my
overlays again. I'm starting to loose my place a lot, and words disappear but I
don't realize it; this has started to cause me to make some careless mistakes on
my homework.

room without get a migrain within 20 minutes. so i get my education by studying
at home through independent study. i dont like going outside much and most
groups to meet new people are in places with bright florecennt lights. ive met
with mrs. irlen personaly and she told me that i am one of the most severe shes
every seen and she told me to never be in a places with forenent lights for more
than 10 minutes even with my dark filterd lences. so it makes it really hard to
meet people.
