Re: hey im new

Some of the classrooms at our school have different types of fluorescent
lighting. Some classrooms I cannot be in and so I try to wait for the class to
be offered later in another building. But if you're going into business on your
own then I guess a degree wouldn't matter anyway. That is really cool.

The computer assisted reading software also adjusts the background color, as
well as the sentence color, and then the word can be a different color. And
then if you can't look at the screen for a long time it is good too because you
can just listen to the audio, which is what I do a lot of times. The one I use
is called Kurzweil. There is a free one online though called ReadPlease and I
used to use that before, but it doesn't allow as many changes unfortunately.

Your monitor sounds like how mine used to be back in the old DOS days. No
wonder that's when I spent the most time on the computer. Now I am online a lot
and I'm sitting at the computer a lot, but I don't actually need to look at the
screen much because of the reading software. Although my monitor is also
adjusted, it is gray instead of bright white. My dad adjusts his monitor to a
pink color, but he swears he doesn't have Irlen's.

a cerificate it doesnt matter because im going to be working for myself im just
geting enough education so i can run my own business.

the reason i ask is ive spent time adjusting my computer screen. the background
being black and the text being gray.

actually being quite helpful. Have you ever tried a computer assisted reading
software? I love reading that way, it highlights the words in any color you
want as it reads out loud. The voices are very realistic. If I'm reading on my
own I am lucky to be able to read 100 words per minute. But with the computer
assisted reading with the audio turned on I can "read" at 250 words per minute.
It is a great improvement.

to read. i used to describe the words as "they were moving around the page" but
nobody understood what i ment by they are moving. i was just told that i need to
learn a better way of explaining things or that i was a dyslexic. i later found
out more spesificly theres halos around the letters and light reflecting off the
page makes it look like they are moving. i usually have to fallow the page with
my fingeres and or use a gray overlay

screening I scored a 17. If I'm not mistaken, 20 is the highest. You said your
lenses are dark; mine are medium, but I think I might have to get the dark ones
the next time I go back to my diagnostician. Unfortunately, I cannot avoid
having to be under fluorescent lights. When the semester is over at the end of
April, I will go back for a tint check. At the end of January I noticed my
symptoms starting to come back. Soon after that, I started having to use my
overlays again. I'm starting to loose my place a lot, and words disappear but I
don't realize it; this has started to cause me to make some careless mistakes on
my homework.

room without get a migrain within 20 minutes. so i get my education by studying
at home through independent study. i dont like going outside much and most
groups to meet new people are in places with bright florecennt lights. ive met
with mrs. irlen personaly and she told me that i am one of the most severe shes
every seen and she told me to never be in a places with forenent lights for more
than 10 minutes even with my dark filterd lences. so it makes it really hard to
meet people.
