I wouldn't recommend limiting yourself to an online education unless you're
certain whatever it is you want to do will take an online program certificate.
I'm a college student and surprisingly now the disabled student center is
actually being quite helpful. Have you ever tried a computer assisted reading
software? I love reading that way, it highlights the words in any color you
want as it reads out loud. The voices are very realistic. If I'm reading on my
own I am lucky to be able to read 100 words per minute. But with the computer
assisted reading with the audio turned on I can "read" at 250 words per minute.
It is a great improvement.

on how severe i am.

considerd online courses to get your education? ive changed the way my computer
looks so its more cofterable.

read. i used to describe the words as "they were moving around the page" but
nobody understood what i ment by they are moving. i was just told that i need to
learn a better way of explaining things or that i was a dyslexic. i later found
out more spesificly theres halos around the letters and light reflecting off the
page makes it look like they are moving. i usually have to fallow the page with
my fingeres and or use a gray overlay

people. My Irlen syndrome is also considered severe. When I went for my
screening I scored a 17. If I'm not mistaken, 20 is the highest. You said your
lenses are dark; mine are medium, but I think I might have to get the dark ones
the next time I go back to my diagnostician. Unfortunately, I cannot avoid
having to be under fluorescent lights. When the semester is over at the end of
April, I will go back for a tint check. At the end of January I noticed my
symptoms starting to come back. Soon after that, I started having to use my
overlays again. I'm starting to loose my place a lot, and words disappear but I
don't realize it; this has started to cause me to make some careless mistakes on
my homework.

room without get a migrain within 20 minutes. so i get my education by studying
at home through independent study. i dont like going outside much and most
groups to meet new people are in places with bright florecennt lights. ive met
with mrs. irlen personaly and she told me that i am one of the most severe shes
every seen and she told me to never be in a places with forenent lights for more
than 10 minutes even with my dark filterd lences. so it makes it really hard to
meet people.
