Welcome to the group
First i would like to say this sure sounds like Irlen, first of all both of
my children and myself have it and the same things you decribe are what mine
suffered before they finally got thier glasses and filters. The difference
is like night and day.My oldest saw glowing rings of color around the words
on paper the blurry moving words and all she was not to bad in math but
horrid with reading and just refused when she had to. My youngst never said
and thing about the words or anything but she could not read or read hand
writing neither could she write she prefers to print so as long as she can
do some thing i don't mind the work gets done easier, less arguing that way
too. I chose to remove my children from public school and home school them
because of the lights and all the other noises they heard cuts down on the
headaches and such too this way they learn i feel better and are much
happier than before so much luck with what ever you decide it will make life
so much easier for your son and for you if you decide to get the testing
done i don't regret it for a second i am just happy i was given the
opportunity to have mine tested.
