Hi Terri,
Hang in there I can imagine how tough things are for you right now
with everything going on with Janet with her medication adjustments
and all. I am sorry to hear that the color filter glasses are not a
significant help for her yet...I need to emphasized how important it
is for her to wear her glasses all the time when she is up and
around light. Children have a hard time with the glasses because
they do not understand and they do not want to be bothered with
them. When they feel so bad all the time.
She had light sensitivity that leads to her seizures and this is
even more of a reason for her to wear her glasses all the time. The
more she wears them the more her system will calm down. It is worth
the try. Personally I suffer from seizures from being light
sensitive and for me the longer I wore them the more my system was
able to calm down. My seizures are still there but not like before
and I am very grateful for the reliefe. Deep down I wish I did not
have to wear the glasses, or have any more seizures, but that is a
fact for me and I have to make the best of it every day and work
around it.
Maybe if you were to start a journal and document her symptoms when
she has them it would better help you to monitor her progress when
she has them on. I am wondering if you do not have support from her
doctors? If not, remember that just because they do not accept or
agree with Helen's Color filters does not mean that they do not
work. My heart goes out to you in having to deal with such a
constant challenge in helping your daughter Janet. I will keep you
in my prayers.
Best Wishes,
Lu
