That's a good idea!
I have found that if I'm writing a paper or if I have to read
something for school, if I provide little motivators at the breaks,
I'm more likely to want to do it instead of put it off.
For example, I love playing harmonica and would play all day if I
could. So I'll tell myself that if I get through 5 pages of reading,
I get to play one song. Or if I get through a certain section of a
research paper, I can play for 10 minutes or something like that.
Sometimes I'll buy chocolates or cookies instead to motivate me, but
those don't tend to work as well because I just figure I can go
without it and I'll put off reading until the last minute when there
will be no way I could ever finish it.
