Hi Val,
Nice to hear you explore what your color filters glasses can help you
do in the since of the arts. I tried my hand with the pennywhistle
(band player Rusty Jacobs plays it), basically it looks like a flute,
but more in the shape of a skinny small recorder.
I got into it when I went to see this band I first saw on KVCR Woods
Tea Company. I liked the Folk, Celtic, Sea Shanties, and humor within
their performance. I took my brother last year for a late Christmas
Present. It was great! During half time I went out to the lobby and
purchased it along with a companion book on how to play it. It is the
only instrument I can play because of my TMJ.
I learned the notes, how to read them, play them, and I was able to
play the songs fast. I understand the fun that comes along with the
freedom the glasses give. Cool. After years of using them they calmed
my CNS down enough for me to focus my eyes, hands, fingers, and brain
to be able to try to play music. I stopped practicing for now because
of my health, but as soon as things are squared away I will immerse
myself again.
You can play their music from their website, although when I went
there, some did not play for me, my favorite song they sang is There
were Roses from their Woods Tea Live Co. CD. If their music sounds
cool you can go to their website http://cdbaby.com/cd/woodsteaco5
They have another song called Summer Grandchildren he said would be in
an upcoming CD for sale when I heard them play last, but I guess they
have not gotten around to it.
