I've always enjoyed music. I can read music, but big note is better if
I don't want to memorize anything. And I never really played an
instrument before where you had to look at the chord symbols above the
melody line because I couldn't read the melody line and see the chord
symbols too.
Now I'm learning to play the autoharp. I watch the melody line so that
I can sing it or hum it, and then look at the chords and stroking marks
above the line. I can't read the words for the singing part at the
same time, but I'm amazed I can even see the chord symbols at the same
time as I can somewhat follow the melody. It is fun!
