Welcome! I was also recently diagnosed on the severe range. I got my
overlay April 4th and had the filters appointment on the 25th. I'm
still awaiting their arrival. I had a tough time learning to drive and
didn't do normal PE in elementary school, so I can hardly wait to see a
change on the spatial aspects too. My writing as far as typing isn't
really affected, but as far as handwriting, mine is pretty bad.
Copying from a board, very bad (especially a white board). And my
reading isn't great at all. I've already noticed huge improvements in
reading with the overlay though. I'm thankful it didn't take me any
longer to discover this than it already did, as I'm 22 now and already
in my 4th year of college with my wrecked GPA.
