Thank you Julie-
I appreciate all of your information and I will dig deeper. I am going to the
University of Michigan's Opthamology Dept. Maybe they will find something. I
agree, with the possiblitiy of something in the past or currently causing. I am
keeping a log going forward. Thankyou-
and buying Omega 3 in the moring.
Christina Thanks again for your input- I truely appreciate it...

For dry eyes, try Omega 3 and lots of it; this has solved my dry eye problem
without using artifical tears (which irritated my eyes). Harvard just had a
study published this last year about Omega 3 working for dry eyes.
I'm not a medical professional, but if you were my client to get overlays
for light sensitivity, I'd ask: What changed? Did you have a head injury? A
neck injury? Surgery with anesthesia? New medicine?New alternative medicine?
High blood pressure? Thyroid disorder? Exposure to pesticides or other
toxins? Brain tumor? Etc.
There are some eye ailments that aren't easy to diagnose. I've had 2 clients
with sudden onset. One had a terrible tragedy (children murdered) and she
became extremely light sensitive. The other finally was diagnosed with an
eye disease but had to visit several specialists.
Perhaps you should see more specialists.
Rehab may be able to help you defray some costs. ??
Lenses tinted specificially for your light sensitivity would probably help
you deal with the light, but you really need to address what is causing a
sudden onset of light sensitivity, I'd think.

Subject: [Glimmer 'Colored Filter Glasses'] Photophobia-Please help if
anyone else is having similar problems
Hi-
I am new to the group. I have been having Light Sensitivity problems for 3
months now, with no relief and no other diagnosis. My Doctor has referred me
to an Othamologist and all he could come up with was "Dry Eyes", Then it was
on to a Neurologist who suspected I might have viral meningitis, so I had a
Spinal Tap. Before all this I had a Cat scan and Stress Test, Blood test
etcs. all test shows that I am as healthy as a horse, but all of the results
came back "Negative" Which meant that I had to keep going for tests. No I am
at a stand still. My Doctor has my on Amytriptylin and Tompama, which I am
weaning off of because it has only made my symptoms worse. Now all of my
symptoms are worse, My eyes burn constantly, I never have any relief at all.
If I am in direct sunlight or flourescent light for too long I get very
intense migraine headaches, so I wear two pairs of sunglasses out side and
one pair inside. I am still working part-time. I don't know how much longer
I will
beable to work. I also feel very disoriented, very forgetful (as in I will
say something and before I get it out of my mouth I have already forgotten
what I have said) My equilibrium is thrown off, I have trouble walking
straight sometimes, and my speech is also affected. I have had all of these
sysmptoms from the begining they are just more exagerated then they were. I
can't think straight at all. Please email a message if you are experieincing
the same as me. If so, have you gotten any results as far as a diagnosis and
a treatment? Anything would be greatly appreaciated at this point, because
now I have nothing to go on.
Thank you for you time.
Christina
