i have "stumbled" in to a bulding today called tlc Irlen? i have a 7
year old kid who is just wonderful great smart kid! she was tested
about three weeks ago for LD's and out that the information
coming in is doing ok but she can not make it come out right...
lol... i know you are thinking sounds like mom right! well i have
had lots of learning problems to but I am not sure what to do with
her! they have put her in to Sp.Ed. at school for less than an hour
a day and we have go now for three day... the teacher thought i
should get her eyes tested and i found out yesterday that she is far
sighted and we are getting glasses next week ( should have gone to a
one hour place but...) Dislexia is in my faimly... i was told i was
borderline back 20 years ago... my sister kids is dislexic... and so
i aske the eye doc to ck her out... but he dose not do that kind of
testing so he sent me to this TLC place ... i have prob going to
have my DD screened thrusday but now i am getting cold feet it will
cost 125 bucks and this is all going so fast!! january i thought
things were going great and now march i have to get her tested for
ld's glasses and color?
i guess i should add some stuff about her.. she does reverse numbers
mostly 5 , some letters but not a lot... she does not like bright
lights... her IQ 125 but her out going information is that of a 5
year old she had done kinder twice and i thought we would just rock
right thru first grade but ... man oh man math is great english
great reading and phonics!! she is just almost failing
any way sorry this was so long but i am just trying to find out all
that i can... oh i have been having people tell me for the past four
years she is ADHD but i dont think she is ...
any thoughts or ideas or suggestion would be helpful i live in
southeren Oklahoma and we are not too up on all this learning stuff!
