Hello, I am a new member. My nine year old son has recently been
diagnosed with irlen syndrome. I've known something was wrong since
about the age of 4 but it has taken me this long to find out what. I
trawled the internet and self diagnosed him before having it confirmed
by the Irlen Centre Kent.

The school have not helped at all and I would like to hear for anyone
who has been through a similar situation with a school and what they
have had to do to get the school's assistance.

I'm still getting used to my son wearing his lenses and still forget
that he has a "problem" and expect him to be able to do things that he
can't!

I look forward to hearing from anyone with any suggestions on making
my son's life a little easier.
