Hi Graycatsanddogs,
I use to use contacts, but now I have gone back to using regular
glasses, as I do not need to wear them indoors like before, but I need
to use them when I am outdoors. I suffer from PCS, and I am convinced,
per my PCS symptoms that it affects the degree of my Irlen Syndrome on
the activity of my brain.
I did have a SPECT scan and discovered my brain does not have blood
flow in certain regions of my brain. It seems the blood flow in my
brain determines how I am going to use the glasses, and in one
environment, and the changes can last from three years to three months…
Anywho, back to your question, I did find when I would use the
contacts the one thing with light that annoyed me, was when the light
would catch the edges and they would act like prisms. At certain
angles of light, the light would cut into my pupil when I would wear
them.
I agree I have shared the problem with the regular glasses, when the
light leaks around them, and leaves me without protection, and can set
off my Irlen syndrome.
