I'm on the dry eye list as well and several of us found that Zyrtec really
dramatically improved our dry eye symptoms. Not claritin, not flonase or any
other - just Zyrtec. Why, I don't know, but it worked miracles for some of
us... worth checking in to. (I don't work for a drug company btw - this isn't a
sales pitch)
Thanks,
Carrie

Wow, how dreadful. I am sorry to hear this about your friend. I now
and then suffer from dry eyes for some inexplicable reason.
Using over the counter eye moistures help me. After hearing about your
friend I am glad it helps me. I also treat myself for allergies and
allergies in the eyes. A natural product that works for me is stinging
nettle. I get it from a local health food store or I go to the local
drug store and get an over the counter medicine for allergies in the
eyes.
I use this for several days or weeks or until the symptoms become
tolerable. I first go the natural way, and most of the time I am
successful in its use.
I still suffer from dry eyes but it is not a tremendous issue for me.
I never connected light sensitivity with dry eyes before. I did
connect feeling fatique with allergies though. When I treat the
allergies I also treat the fatigue, and usually I feel better from
feeling fatique and from my allergies. My eyes get red, swollen, hot,
sting, and blurry. They can also get dry. I will have to keep track of
it. I will let you know how it all works out. It makes sense to me as
my allergies affect my light sensitivity.
