Welcome,
Gee, where do I begin? I have been wearing Irlen Color filter glasses
since September 17, 1998. I wear two kind, light and dark, the light
for indoors and the dark for the outdoors although I alternate when I
need to. Light is a funny thing with its cycles per seconds and
frequency that perhaps only a scientist would understand and answer
to some of the questions I have about why they help calm my central
nervous system down. Why I need them sometimes more than other times,
or geographical changes, or why I now tolerate light better (I don't
need them as much as before). Mind you I have been wearing them for
six years. I share with Robin some of the miracles that she realized
when wearing the color filter glasses.
Helen told me once that the more I wear them that the more my central
nervous system would settle down. She was right. I also asked her if
there was anyone who no longer needed to wear them and she
said "One". I am not sure if I will able to be the second one, but I
have noticed a remarkable change in how I can tolerate light now, but
I still need to wear them. I am not out of the woods yet, as I need
to wear my sunglasses when outdoors or the light ones when indoors
but not as urgent as when I first started to wear them.
Listen to your body when around light and if your system settles down
when you wear your color filter glasses then that is how you know
that you need to wear them, or have the tints rechecked to make sure
that they have not faded if your system does not calm back down after
you put them on or they do not feel right, or the tints may need to
be modified to support your system to calm down from light
sensitivity symptoms (SSS).
Should you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask me or Robin.
