Head Injury and some of the body symptoms that come with it ...
Hi Elizabeth.
How odd that there is a connection with head injury. I wonder if this
applies to anyone who has had a head injury. I had on in an auto
accident in 1991. My world as I knew it came crashing down because
the light was the stimuli that would set off my seizures...the worse
back then was bright neon colors...now just bright colors like on
Julie's website. That is how sensitive my system becomes. Sometimes I
can tolerate light better then on other days I am just a mess.
What also helped me aside from the color filter glasses was
alternative medicine. Herbs, diet, meditation, and a good
chiropractor. Interestingly, a ROTTEN chiropractor re injured my old
whiplash in 91 and since then I have been struggling with my color
filter glasses.
I spoke to Helen and she advised me to come in for a re-tint check.
It is confusing for me because my system changes daily...one day the
light ones are uncomfortable to wear...other days they are my best
friends. I wear my light ones when on the computer. In the house I
did not have to wear them as much until the seasonal change...the sun
moved...the light now is more intense for my system to stay calm. I
suffer from light induced seizures.
I had so many other head injury symptoms that the Irlen classes help
resolved. To many to mention. One of them was
pain...stiffness...balance, and dept perception...
Best wishes,
Lu
