Hi Rita,
Boy, you sure do need to get your vision tested. I remember how my
color filtered glasses helped control my light induced seizures! I
use to have 50 a day. I had no life as it was a huge struggle getting
anything done. When I started to wear the color filter glasses
allowed me to have a life again :)
Regarding your son. It is hard for children to wear their glasses
because of the psyche conflict that they have within them. Ideas,
values, perceptions and interests that is so powerful that even when
the glasses work for them, sadly they won't wear them. You need to
help create as much as possible in all environment (including his
internal) where he feels safe (in his spirit) wearing his glasses.
Work on his teacher till she is nice (if you need to buttered her
heavily that she is a heroine) for being so unselfish in having faith
in helping your son. How amazing she is to put her values, ideas,
etc. aside just to give your son the opportunity to develop and have
growth he needs. She is wonderful for not letting his color filter
glasses negatively interrupt this process.
Get him a special cap he just is so excited to wear and have. His
favorite sports game, TV show... Neat Glass containers. When getting
these things have him become totally involved in every process of the
decision making in selecting his cap. He can have several to fit the
mood that he is in on a particular day.
