My light sensitivity gets worse when the seasons change...   Message List

Hello everyone,

I have decided to once again revamp how I use my color filter glasses
to protect me from the sunlight. I have gone back to wearing my light
color filter glasses most of the time again. With the exception of
going outdoors…I wear the outdoors. There is simply too much sunlight
flooding into my house right now. I will update you on my progress.

One of my main problems in my particular light sensitivity pattern is
the two main seasonal changes i.e. winter and summer…the change in
location of the sun always has given me an issue.

Back in April of last year I started to see a new chiropractor whom
re-injured the whiplash from my auto accident of 91. I was around
May, June or July…I started not to wear my indoor glasses like I
normally did. I wonder what was going on. Yesterday I realized that I
might need to go in for a tint check. It did not occur to me sooner
because I had the colors of my color filters changed the last time
that I was in Helen's office (Irlen Institute).

Interestingly, sunrays in other parts of the state I will need to
modify how I wear my color filter glasses. I will either need to wear
my color filter glasses all of the time, or sometimes. It all depends
on the light from the sun. Maybe a physicist could answer this. I
don't know if this is the right field for this question. Does this
happen to anyone?

Lu

For a temporary solution to the light leak, a thought... I use some wrap-around glasses from Walgreens drug store ($20) over my Irlen lenses for outdoors....
