Hi David,
I hope that you have been able to have your question answered. Yes,
this group is small and we wait along with everyone for something to
be posted. Please read the most recent post I made to Robin about
my light sensitivity becoming less. If you have any questions
please don't hesitate to answer me. Your system responding to
light...to pass out sounds like light sensitivity like I have. For
some unknown reason...in exact medical science...light does not seem
to be processed in my brain (or the cones) of my eyes and that
causes me trouble to have light induced seizures. Which is why I
have been so slow to post about it because I was waiting for my
recent changes to light sensitivity to settle down...
I guarantee you that if my symptoms worsen again that I will not
hesitate to go back to wearing my color filter glasses full time
like before. I use to live and occasionally still need to live in
a "cave" atmosphere in my home when light causes me to get in
trouble with my seizures.
The light causes me to have sensory overload and I have to stop,
slow down, and wait until my body tells me it is okay to proceed
doing whatever it was that I was doing...of course I get so wiped
out that I don't sometimes don't remember or I just want to sleep so
what does it matter what I was doing. I have learned over 10 years
to just let it go as it does not help me to get tensed about it.
Yes, I know all too well about disorientation. I don't care for
when this happens to me. I have learned to live with my symptoms.
But when I first put on the color filter glasses it gave me more
control of my life...I will always be grateful for Helen Irlen and
her amazing color filter glasses. Do you know about them enough for
all of your questions to be answered? Let me know...I am here.
