I wish to know wot the difference is between siberian/korean/manchurian
ginseng?? I normally take siberian-but ran out and as manchurian was on
offer I decided to use that!! is there really any different qualities
between them?? and the reason I use it is to boost my energy and my
brain! is this correct? will it really have this effect? thanks Sue.
I know of another ginseng group that does not have all this spam on it.
It is on MSN.com, it is called ginsengtalk and is located in the groups
section on msn.com. There is not a lot of activity on there but more
than has been on this site for a long time and no spam. Daniel,

Hi All,
I'm not sure this is still a viable group, it seems like spammers
have taken it over from the posts I had a chance to read through.
Just in case, though, I will post my intro :) I live in the Ozarks
of NW Arkansas. Ginseng used to be plentiful here, but just like
everywhere else poaching and logging have taken a huge toll. I'm
trying to replant my own woods, but even still poaching is a
problem. So this year I'm planting everything closer to the house
where the dogs can hear intruders. Someone took all the goldenseal
last season. None of my ginseng are old enough to steal yet, but I'm
sure whoever took the goldenseal is planning to take it when it's
older, too.
I also have plenty extra seedlings which I usually sell at the
Farmer's Market over here in Kingston. If any of you need to buy
some, they ship very well as bare-root plants. Visit my website if
you are interested: http://www.OzarkGinseng.com. I only grow it
organic (not certified, exempt because I don't sell enough) and wild-
simulated. Any that are in pots are in the native woods soil and are
seeded in the pot and the pot is left in the woods covered with
leaves until going to market.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading through the rest of the older
posts on this group.

it in bulk to another company or person. By him paying us $800.00 a
pound you know he has to make more than that. oh my husband said to
let you know that ginseng can be grown from the root, not just from
seed. He also said there is a difference in price for ginseng you
grow and wild ginseng. The buyers here pay more for wild ginseng.
they can tell the difference by the color. Wild ginseng is darker.

SOrry sweet I was talking about seeds not roots sorry
I think here in NC I have heard of it going for around 550 as well. I
am new to planting\ harvesting Ginseng. My crop is only a year old.
Plus the other pound I'm hoping to plant this weekend?

Hi. My husband and I dig wild ginseng. I got a hold of a friend of
ours last night and found out what it's bring a pound for the root.
In manchester, which is't that far from us it's bring $720.00 a
pound. Here in our town is't bring $550.00. Where are you from? The
price seems to change around here all the time. Last year it was
$350, next year who knows. Thanks you getting back to me. You'll
never believe what kind of sites I pulled up by typing gineng in the
search window.
Just wanted to Thank you sweetdc78
I joined this about 6 months or so & this is only about the second TRUE
Ginseng Topic.
I was thinking everyone quit using this
Thanks
I have seen them from 50 to 120 a pound just pending on several
differnt things & your intent. I was short in Funds this year s oi had
to go the cheap route but was pleased with how the seeds
looked.Although haven't hade a chance to plant them yet
