During Difficult Times........   Message List

Sometimes, especially during the long times of
darkness in our lives where it seems as though we're
not recovering or making any sort of progress, we can
feel so alone. We could be surrounded by people who
bombard us with their love, but we still feel
completely and hopelessly alone.

It's during those times that I try to remember why I
hold on. It's in the darkness when I grasp that last
string of hope - God is always there.

The Bible says, "Nothing can ever separate us from
God's love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels
can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our
worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell
can't keep God's love away. Whether we are high above
the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all
creation will ever be able to separate us from the
love of God." That pretty much covers all the bases -
absolutely nothing can make God stop loving us. No
matter where we go, or what we do, no matter how
worthless we think we are, or how much we hurt - it
doesn't make God stop loving us or stop knowing we are
worth something. Fortunately, God's love isn't based
on our feelings or our actions. Whether we feel it or
believe it, He loves us.

Some of us base what we think about God, our Heavenly
Father, by our earthly parents. That's why we think
if we do something "wrong" or "misbehave", He turns
His back on us, and stop caring for and protecting us.
This just isn't true. God's bond of love for us is
so incredibly strong that absolutely nothing will or
can change it. He will never leave us nor forsake us.

So I send you a prayer - excerpts from a letter that
the apostle Paul wrote letter to the people in Ephesus
almost 2000 years ago:
"When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan, I
fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator
of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that
from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give
you mighty inner strength....May your roots go down
deep into the soil of God's marvelous love. And may
you have the power to understand, as all God's people
should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his
love really is....Then you will be filled with the
fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now
glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within
us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we
would ever dare to ask or hope."

May God bless you abundantly today,
Brenna Kate

I know this is a strange choice for an e-mail address, but what I mean is
Getting Fed, in the spiritual sense. Most of us know by now that eating
disorders aren't really about food. We all need other types of nourishment.
Jesus said, "I have food to eat that you know nothing about", "my food is to do
the will of him who sent me and to finish his work", and "do not work for food
that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man
will give you. On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval."
