My son is handicapped and also has reflux. I recently got GERD and now I know
how miserable he most be at times. I can relate and I make the doctors take
it more seriously now. He is 7 but he has had it since birth. They had him on
meds at first but he was refluxing so bad that he had a Nissan procedure done
and a g tube placement. It got a lot better after that and they took him off
meds. However he went to the dentist recently and he could tell he was still
refluxing because the acid is eating away at his teeth. He has spells were he
stops eating completely and we then have to rely on his g tube to feed him.
