hi -just want to let you know i have been through all you are about to
experience-the endoscopy is very simple-they put you to sleep for about 10 min
and stick a very thin tub e down your throat, if necessary they take small
biopsies of different regions of the stomach. they do not have any after effect
pains. i left from the dr. office-went straight to the golf course and played 18
holes. please stress to the dr. administering the sleep medicine that you do not
want any narcotics and this is the major reason you will feel so terrible later.
now for the ulcer part of it-protonox does not prevent an ulcer, it only slows
down acid production. you have to take a regimine of antibotics to heal the
ulcer. there are 2 that are hightly recommended. it takes about 7-10 days to
finish them and you will see an amazing difference. the dr. should know which
ones to take.. good luck and keep us informed.
