You have very good information and your tips on what you do are great.

I understand from what I've read about GERD, though, that alcohol is a
trigger for GERD so you might want to have it at lunchtime instead of
dinnertime and you may want to have it infrequently.

I haven't experienced tongue or jaw pain either but I've heard that,
for sure, people can have tongue pain with GERD which is caused by the
acid reflux.

There is an exception to this that I'm thinking of starting and that
is to have a small glass of red wine with dinner. I understand that
aids digestion.

Jim These questions you need to ask your gastroologist, he is the specialist at this. if Prevacid, make sure you let him/her know so you can try a different...

I think the idea that a (small) glass of wine with a meal is good for digestion might be wishful thinking on my part! I will take your advice. Thanks, Sandy ...
