It seemed my greatest problem occurred at night. Bad
habit of eating too much, spicy foods, a lot of water
intake and of course sweets. So when I say I did such
and such, it refers primarily to activities associated
with the evening meal.
I cut water down and most liquids because they dilute
the stomach enzymes (mostly Hydrocloric acid) and you
need the strongest acid you can get to digest the
foods, thus putting them in a form your body can
process further down the digestive tract. Diluted
acid is not as bad a none. If you take a Rolaid or
Tum before a meal, you remove all the acid---then your
body says produce more, much more. If you take one of
those "stop the acid pumps" type pills, then what is
the body to do. The natural body message service says
we need acid, your Rolaid or Tums says we will absorb
it, and that other pill says 'not on my shift'. So I
go with the natural message service--let the body
function as intended without my interference. I might
add, a carbonated drink also neutralizes the stomach
acids, so I do not drink carbonated drinks at
all--ever.
Hope that helps. Jay
