The federal courts in your area operate in a much differnt manner than
in California. If the cases were pending out here, it would have been
at least another year before your trial date.
Then again, the federal courts here deal with lots of drug smuggling
and immigration cases which tax the court's resources. Civil cases
get a much lower priority.
