Welcome to the GastricBypass-AbuseSurvivors Group, a YahooGroup for abuse survivors who have had or are considering weight loss surgery.

I had Gastric Bypass Surgery (Laproscopic Roux-En-Y) and am looking to meet other survivors who have had or are considering weight loss surgery (WLS) and may also have problems with compulsive overeating and/or bulemia, anxiety, depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Dissociative Identity Disorder / Multiple Personality Disorder (DID / MPD), etc.

I know that compulsive overeating, depression and dissociation common to PTSD and DID all definately play a role in my dealing with Morbid Obesity to begin with, and they continue to play a part in my life even being post-op from the surgery. I look forward to a supportive group environment whereby we can share our experiences, trials and tribulations :)
