FAP Supervision
Challenge yourself and your supervisees by creating a supervisory process that encourages participants to be open, vulnerable, honest and present. In a FAP model of supervision, therapy skills are not only taught didactically, but experientially. The emotional closeness that underlies a strong therapeutic alliance is first experienced by the therapist in his or her supervisory relationship. Supervisees learn to develop ethically responsible therapeutic skills to increase therapist-client intimacy leading to more effective therapy. Through videotapes, roleplays/demonstrations and handouts, we will outline how supervision can be enhanced.
Case Consultation
Do you have a client with whom you are struggling? Come to this session with a particular client or clients in mind. Video or audio tapes of your work will be especially welcome. We will delve more deeply into FAP case conceptualization, discuss all the different ways your clients' issues may show up within the therapeutic relationship, explore how you can use yourself to become a more powerful change agent, and suggest interventions you may not yet have tried. You can also choose to roleplay your client for a more in-depth understanding of FAP interventions.
Experiential Work for the Brave-hearted
Do you want to connect more intimately with yourself, your clients and others? Do you have grief, anger, hurt and/or other wounds from the past that have not fully healed? You will be given an opportunity to delve more deeply into whatever feel most tender, vulnerable or scary for you through structured exercises that will amplify the needs of your core inner voices, help you tap into your emotions more fully, increase your insight, and help you connect more deeply with others. All that we do in this workshop can be used with your clients to intensify your clinical work.
I'd like to get feedback from list members on these options, so if you could back channel me that would be good.

I'm running all of the logistics through my practice, because the structure is already set up, that's why my name is emblazoned all over the freakin' place. (My mind insisted that I say that.)
Thanks
