Research on FAP hypotheses   Message List

Hi all,

As a newcomer on this group I would like to ask you a question
regarding research on hypotheses that could be derived from FAP theory.
As I read through FAP theory on 'problems with the self', coming forth
from having received a lack of reinforcement on 'I X' statements in
one's historical context, one could derive that persons suffering from
problems with the self talk less in "I X" form than people with other
problems or no problems. This could be easily assessed, wouldn't it?
One could also hypothesize that people who receive good therapy (no
matter the therapeutic approach) increase their "I X" talking.
Is there any research available on these things?

Best whishes,
Marco
