I am also 25 years old (male). I understand your frustration and
feelings of "helplessness". I must of repeated your quote, "I'm a 25
year old trapped in an 80-year old's body" a million times in my
head.
I think the best thing for us to do is to live as healthy as
possible and be patient. Wayne and many others can direct you
supplements and healthy diets that may slow your progression and
give you more energy.
There are other vitamins/amino acids people have found to be
helpful. I recommend you search through the posts on these items for
dosage amounts and any other important information.
I personally take supplements I mentioned. I can't really say they
help, but at the very least it gives me a feeling like I am doing
something useful (a little sense of control I suppose).
Lastly, if you live in the United States, there are some clinical
trails on a new drug myostatin. Search previous posts on this
subject to find out if you can get involved.
