Hi Paul and thank you very much for that reply. I wanted to ask you one more
question. I remember about a year ago when I posted about having a very stiff
neck, you replied to the post and stated that you once had a similar problems.
I think you wrote down that you didn't quite know why but that the problem
resolved after a while. I just wonder if you could remember back and think
about what factors really helped to get rid of it. Was it positioning (i.e. did
you start using a recliner more often?), was it medication or pain control that
helped?, did your doctor or therapists suggest anything?, did you go in for
scapular fixation surgery and did that help? I am just very interested in
knowing about this as my condition continues and yet I am convinced there must
be a way out of this! I do realise that we could have very different reasons of
having a stiff neck?! But still it would be helpful to listen to one person's
experience. Take care and God bless, Sandra

I have my house and car set up so I can do this for maybe an hour or two at a
time. This posture allows me to balance my head in such a way as to take the
strain off my neck and shoulders.

much. I read most of them. I can't reply all the time, because I have
difficulty accessing my computer, so I will only would reply if I have any
knowledge or really have something burning to share.! I think it's wonderful
how we get the mix of people giving us anecdotes about works with them, as well
as really good information about papers on scientific research. So please keep
writing, because all this is really useful and I guess people will read with
discerning minds to see whether it applies to them.

because of the wasting of muscles on my arms and shoulders (back and front), I
find it extremely difficult to sit for long periods of time. Actually, even for
short periods of time! At night I have to pace myself, sit for about 20
minutes, then lie down 20 minutes recline; and then sit again. I also have a
very stiff neck which is makes the matter really bad. This anyone have any
solution? I'm finding it so hard to live like this!!
